ArcGIS Pro is a new 64-bit, multithreaded application that runs on Windows, available for all customers with an ArcGIS Desktop license and current on maintenance. A complete redesigned interface allows the user to work publish both 2D and 3D content in the same time. One of the most important options that ArcGIS Pro brings is the integration with SciPy, a Python ecosystem of open-source software for mathematics, science, and engineering. Python is an easy to learn, highly scalable, stable scripting language
The integration of ArcGIS Pro and SciPy allows the scientists to combine professional GIS tools with the power of SciPy processing modules. The aim of the course is to provide the scientists with startup information on how SciPy and ArcGIS Pro can be used together to develop scientific and technical geoprocessing tools and scripts easier and more efficient
Objectives of the course:
- To install and configure SciPy with ArcGIS Pro
- To use and combine SciPy modules with the geoprocessing tools from ArcGIS Pro with almost no programming skills
- To share the geoprocessing packages
Live examples from natural hazards assessment will be provided
