This Splinter Meeting is intended to announce recent advances in leading practices of unambiguously linking physical samples to the data and literature derived on them, and encourage their adoption. This meeting is organized by the leadership team of the International Geo Sample Number implementation organization IGSN e.V. (www.igsn.org).
