SPM1.44 Mars Upper Atmosphere Network (MUAN) Meeting (public) |
Convener: David Andrews |
Thu, 16 Apr, 19:00–20:00
|
The Mars Upper Atmosphere Network (MUAN) has played a role in fostering collaborative science in the study of Mars's upper atmosphere, ionosphere and induced magnetosphere, principally using data from ESA's Mars Express. In the past we have organised specific measurement campaigns focusing on the Mars-solar wind interaction, and the influences of crustal magnetic fields on the properties of the ionosphere, and dedicated scientific workshops to discuss these results.
A short open discussion meeting will be held at EGU to discuss upcoming activities in this field, in particular plans for future campaigns, meetings, and upcoming collaborations with the NASA MAVEN mission.
