We invite presentations on the biogeochemical cycles, surface energy budget, cryosphere, water cycle, and climate and ecosystem interactions in Northern Eurasia. Presentations with strong human dimension, which in addition to impact studies of environmental change, include feedback studies of societal and land use change on regional and global environment and climate, and techniques to address the associated problems are strongly encouraged. The particular foci at the Session will be synthesis studies that summarize the 12 years of research within the Northern Eurasia Earth Science Partnership Initiative (NEESPI) as well as the studies by the early career scientists associated with (or are interested to join) NEESPI and its successor: Future Northern Eurasia scientific project.
The Session conveners have invited two Overview presentations devoted to
(a) past, ongoing and future efforts of the integrated modeling of global change over Northern Eurasia (Prof. Erwan Monier and Co-Authors) and
(b) carbon budget and its dynamics over Northern Eurasian forest ecosystems (Prof. Anatoly Shvidenko and Co-Authors).
