Open Educational and Outreach Resources for Water Education

This session welcomes the presentation of open educational resources, free and open source software (FOSS) and tools, as well as innovative methods for education and outreach in the hydrological sciences. Are you involved in undergraduate and graduate education programmes in the hydrological sciences, water resources management, water engineering, etc.? Do you develop and are willing to share your teaching material and tutorials, or use FOSS and open access datasets? Are you a science communicator, communicating with peers, or outreaching to non-peers, through websites, blogs, social-media, videos? Do you publish open-access educational or outreaching material? If any of these apply to you then our session is the perfect showcase for presenting and discussing your open resources and methods for teaching hydrology in a life-long learning context.
We are looking forward to hosting your contribution in a new and dynamic session format:
An EGU PICO session which combines a 2-minute oral presentation (2-minute madness) with an interactive poster presentation on dedicated touch-screens that (see description at http://www.egu2015.eu/pico.html)
