The Seismology Division organizes a special outreach event for young scientist, on the subject ‘The Art of Being Scientist’, with topical sections like:

Driving research effectively forward
Effective advising and mentoring
The scientific career
The do's and dont's of professional oral communication

This will be a workshop like event, given Roel Snieder (http://inside.mines.edu/~rsnieder/), who is also the Beno-Gutenberg Medalist of Seismology in 2016.
