This session hosts the lecture of the Beno Gutenberg Medalist.
The 2016 Beno Gutenberg Medal is awarded to Prof. Roel Snieder, W.M. Keck Distinguished Professor of Basic Exploration Science, at Colorado School of Mines, for his ground-breaking work in seismic wave propagation and innovative seismic imaging techniques, and his passion and reputation for education.
