Publishing your research in peer reviewed journals is a key skill for anyone wanting a career in research. This course, given by the scientific editor of The Cryosphere Frank Pattyn, covers the details of what an Editor is looking for in a good publication. From the ins and outs of writing a good cover letter, to responding to reviewers comments this course will help improve the way your pitch your research to journals. It will also give you an idea of how to get involved in journal reviewing and editing yourself. The course is aimed at both new researchers who want to know where to begin and also those with a few publications under their belts, who would like to know how to get more involved in the wider world of scientific publishing.
Public information: | In addition, the course will provide insights into the two-stage review process of The Cryosphere and the editorial workflows of Copernicus Publications, the publisher of the journal. |
