A hands-on workshop, open to all who wish to engage with and inspire the next generation of geoscientists. ECS are particularly encouraged to attend. Participants will
receive training on effective schools engagement and partnership working with teachers. The session will be delivered by a former researcher, now science educator and member of EGU Committee of Education.

Beyond the workshop ECS will be encouraged to make a 1:1 link back at their 'home high school' or if this is not practical, the Network of GIFT teachers will be utilised to provide a link
teacher that is geographically accessible to the ECS.

With scientists encouraged to show Impact of their research, schools engagement can be a rewarding route but only if done well. If attending this workshop you will be expected to participate actively.
