EMRP2.3 Electromagnetic geophysics |
Convener: Maxim Smirnov | Co-Conveners: Michael Becken , Gerardo Romano |
Electromagnetic (EM) geophysical methods address a wide spectrum of applied and fundamental problems on the scales ranging from near-surface to the whole Earth. We invite contributions from all electromagnetic geophysics, including magnetotellurics, controlled source EM, transient EM. Development of instrumentation, data processing techniques (dealing with cultural noise and source field effects, application of multivariate methods) and new modelling/inversion (3D, anisotropy, joint and collaborative inversions) techniques are welcomed. EM monitoring, laboratory studies of electrical conductivity, application and development of airborne (semi-airborne) EM techniques are appropriate for this session.
