Environmental effects of past land-use changes - Palaeoenvironmental reconstructions as tools for current environmental planning (public)
Convener: Bernhard Lucke
Fri, 28 Apr, 08:30–12:00

Environmental planning and studies of past environmental changes rarely communicate, but in fact studies of past changes are most relevant for current development plans. This meeting will host short impulse talks of experts in the fields of environmental planning, geography and environmental reconstruction, and archaeology. On the basis of the short talks, we will discuss how to better integrate, disseminate, and communicate joint research. If possible, we will seek to establish special research funding programmes for such interdisciplinary research.
