SC56/CL6.04/CR6.13 ECS Communicating Climate Change - blogging as a group (co-organized) |
Convener: Céline Heuzé | Co-Convener: Sophie Berger |

Blogging is a great way to communicate on very complex but sensitive issues such as climate change. Starting your own blog can however be daunting or require too much effort to be maintained. Hence being part of a collective blog such as the EGU blogs or ClimateSnack can be an effective way to overcome those difficulties.
With our invited speaker Mathew Reeve, founder of ClimateSnack, we will introduce you to the basics of climate change communication. Then you will get your hands dirty with a practical: in small groups, you will need to turn an awful draft into a pleasant and clear blog post. The course will end with a general discussion about effective communication on climate change, friendly writing options, and Q&A.
Please bring a pen and paper.
This session is open to all EGU divisions for scientists at all stages of their careers, with an emphasis on early-career scientists working on climate change issues.
