A new IAVCEI commission on volcano geodesy has been proposed. This splinter meeting is intended to plan the organization and activities of the commission. Specifically, we will discuss the commission structure, communication strategy (e.g., listserv and website), funding (especially securing opportunities for young scientists), and future commission-specific meetings (including a kick-off meeting in August at the IAVCEI scientific assembly, and a volcano geodesy workshop in 2019).
