During the townhall meeting we will discuss various planetary emergencies caused by greenhouse gases, among which the expected drop in agricultural productivity, the release of carbon stored in the Arctic, and the warming, acidification, and de-oxygenation of the oceans. The meeting is intended to inform the participants of the current state of affairs as assessed by various international climate research bodies and institutions. Based on this information, we will discuss an outlook for the future of the planet, a roadmap towards developing scientifically based recommendations to alter the trajectory we are currently on, and strategies to engage with policy makers, legislators, and senior administrators in order to achieve an effective implementation of such measures.
