The Sentinels missions represent a major opportunity for advancing science in terms of innovative methods, novel products and new scientific results. The massive amount of data provided by Sentinels 1, 2 and 3 A and B units together with additional observations (satellite and in-situ) and models over ocean and ice/snow areas is opening the door to unprecedented capacity to monitor and characterise Earth system processes from global to local scales.
This session aims at reviewing the latest advancements in science made possible by the Sentinel series over the ocean and the cryosphere and to explore the potential future applications that science results may bring in the next future.
