Presently soil erosion has become one of the most common environmental problems in the world. Conducting experiments is an important means to study soil erosion regularity and its control measures. EXPERIMENTAL EROSOLOGY, is a new member of the discipline of soil erosion and conservation. Experimental erosology is defined to explore the transportation law and control method of soil and water loss by performing field or laboratory tests under closely monitored or controlled experimental conditions. The similarity theory, simulation technology and observation method are the three pillars of the experimental erosology. This session thus focuses on the following topics (not limited to):
(1) Similarity conditions of the physical model
(2) Methods and devices for simulation of soil erosion and conservation
(3) Methods and devices for observation of soil erosion and conservation
(4) Field or laboratory experiments on the behaviour and trigger of soil erosion and conservation
(5) Field or laboratory experiments on the effect and the process of soil erosion and conservation
(6) Field or laboratory experiments with sediment tracers
