This short course will briefly recall some basic aspects of paper writing, submission and revision. The course will begin with a presentation by an Ocean Science editor explaining the process behind OS revision and publication. This EGU open access journal has a fully transparent open review process. Then, an ECS who has recently published in the OS journal will give some useful tips when going through the publication process. This short course aims at providing the community (in particular Early Career Scientists) with useful tips and a better understanding of open access and open review processes of Ocean Sciences. After the presentation, there will be an open round for questions and discussion.
