This Short Course is a quick-fire and sociable way to talk about your research! It allows many Natural Hazards Early Career Scientists to come together to discuss their research interests and find others with similar interests or with ideas and experiences they can draw on. It is particularly useful in allowing researchers to share ideas and build connections through which future research collaborations can be developed, or to identify and solve specific problems they are addressing in their research or writing.
The speed-date is organized with a short preamble about the activity followed by a brief introduction about NhET (Natural hazard Early career scientists Team), the main organizer of this short course. The time of each speed-date session will be between 3 and 10 minutes, depending on the number of participants. In order to better organize the short course, we ask interested NH Early career scientists to fill-in the registration form available at the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/L7kDytQdMv7a18aM2 and select your main topic of research. Be reminded that the short course is open to everyone, even not registered people, and the form does not supersede the general registration for the General Assembly.
Subsequent to the speed dating, we would like to propose a meet for a social drink or a dinner to deepen the previous conversations. The location will be decided at a later time. So, do not forget to leave your personal email into the online form.
