Please note that this session was withdrawn and is no longer available in the respective programme. This withdrawal might have been the result of a merge with another session.
This PICO session solicits abstracts on the diverse range of optical phenomena occurring in the upper atmosphere, such as, but not limited to, aurora, airglow, transient luminous events, noctilucent clouds, and locally generated ionospheric emissions (e.g., STEVE). We equally welcome contributions on the scientific exploration of these phenomena (at least partially based on optical data) and those discussing technical advancements, optical calibration or analysis techniques, such as the use of AI or machine learning for identification/classification.
