GLOMETS project and the science of meteotsunamis meeting
Convener:
Ivica Vilibić
Mon, 15 Apr, 19:00–20:00 (CEST)
Room 2.61
Mon, 19:00
The meeting aims to gather scientists having interest on meteorological tsunamis or meteotsunamis, atmospherically-generated long-ocean waves in the tsunami frequency band, which is the topic of freshly started GLOMETS project (Global science of meteotsunamis: from planetary to mesoscale processes, https://stijena.krs.hr/~ivilibic/glomets/indexen.html). All researchers having interests in (1) meteotsunami and sea level observations at minute resolutions, (2) atmosphere-ocean modelling for meteotsunamis, (3) atmosphere-ocean interactions and ocean processes, (4) processes in the atmosphere generating meteotsunamis, (5) projecting meteotsunamis in future climates, (6) meteotsunamis forecasting and developing early warning system, (7) planetary meteotsunami waves generated by explosive volcanic eruptions, and other connected topics, are warmly welcomed to join the meeting.
