Most economic mineral deposits form by a combination of physical and chemical processes involving fluids, hot or cool and of varied origin. This session aims to stimulate the discussion about hydrothermal transport and precipitation of metals and other components, by combining contributions from the full range of modern investigation techniques, including field geology, analytical studies and numerical modelling. Integrated geological case studies, especially about classic or new exploration and mining projects in Europe, are equally welcome in this session.
