Practices and advances in education of atmospheric sciences as well as the role of meteorology in the education process will be discussed. Contributions dealing with appearance of meteorology, climatology and hydrology in national curricula on all levels of education throughout Europe and overseas are welcome.
In particular we encourage contributions presenting
• the organisation of education in meteorology and climatology in different countries,
• the role and methods of school and off-school activities and programs in atmospheric
sciences outreach and education at lower levels.
Presentations of use of new technologies and on advances in atmospheric science education, e.g. on computer aided learning, web based courses or other resources presenting contemporary problems and tasks of atmospheric sciences are solicited as well. Contributions on the role of these methodologies in professional training at national Meteorological Services are also welcome as well as the presentations of educational aspects of EC and national projects.
