ECAM Plenary: Hazards, Risks, Advice - How far should we go?
Convener: W. Lang
Wed, 11 Sep, 16:00–18:00  / Room G10

Weather and natural hazard advice is becoming a vital component of incident management and risk mitigation for many governments and organisations.
A round table discussion will explore some of the issues we face in taking a more proactive stance in these processes, be they practical, ethical or even legal. We will examine the benefits and risks of this approach and discuss how we should communicate with, and manage the expectations of, the users of our services.

Moderator: Will Lang, UK Met Office.

Panelists:
Gerald Fleming, Met Eireann
Dennis Schulze, PRIMET
Paul Davies, UK Met Office
Craig Woolhouse, Environment Agency, England
