The session will focus on mountainous aspects in meteorology and related disciplines (e.g., hydrology). We invite papers on all aspects of mountain meteorology, such as

1) Numerical weather prediction (e.g., model developments in physics, numerics, or data assimilation targeted at improving the NWP system over complex topography).

2) Applications of NWP in mountainous terrain (e.g., coupled hydrological models for flood forecasting).

3) Understanding, modelling, and forecasting of mountain-related phenomena such as dynamic wind systems (e.g., foehn, gap flow), thermally forced mountain winds, fog, or snow.
