PRIMET is the association of private sector weather service providers in Europe. ECOMET is an economic interest grouping of the National Meteorological Services of the European Economic Area. In order to facilitate good collaboration and a prosperous development of the market for meteorological services in Europe, PRIMET and ECOMET hold a joint meeting every year. This gives meteorological service providers direct access to relevant stakeholders in national meteorological services to discuss data provision and service related issues. ECOMET on the other hand receives feedback about market needs to feed into their data strategy. Participation is by invitation only and open to all PRIMET members as well as representatives from ECOMET members.
