In this session we focus on laboratory experiments that are relevant to planetary sciences in the area of gas-phase, condensed-phase, and condensed-phase high-pressure to simulate atmosphere, surface, and interior of planetary bodies.

We also focus on newly established laboratories or the need to establish new laboratories in order to respond to specific needs of planetary sciences (hence invite non-laboratory colleagues to submit abstracts to talk about their needs).

Colleagues who focus on experimental studies that are aimed at understanding primitive bodies (asteroids, comets, dust, IDPs), KBOs, giant planetary systems, Mars, Moon, and Earth-like exoplanets are welcome to submit their abstract to this session. Colleagues who are modelers and do observational studies with focused need for new experimental data are strongly encouraged to submit their abstract to this session as well.
