Workshop: Sub microsat and microprobe concepts for future planetary Missions
Convener: Jean-Pierre Lebreton  | Co-Convener: Christopher Carr

There are significant developments all over the world of spacecraft in the 1 to 10 kg class for educational, research and technology applications. The cubesat programme is an example of an educational programme that allows to conduct educational projects and conduct science in Earth orbit and beyond. It is believed that small spacecraft (1-100 kg class) have a potential for enabling new opportunities for future planetary exploration. Future planetary missions also envisage to use penetrators and micro probes launched from a carrier vehicle already placed in orbit around its target or from a parachuted probe in a planetary atmosphere.

The session will include a few invited talks. We are inviting contributed oral talks and posters that address all aspects of the scope of the session. In addition, presentations on innovative concepts and enabling technologies that may be of interest to enable new planetary missions with small vehicle (1-100 kg class) are also most welcome.
