This workshop intends to discuss the efficiency of magnetic fields against planetary atmospheric erosion and surface weathering. Emphasis will be made on comparative atmospheric losses of Earth, Venus and Mars, as well as on plasma-induced color changes of the Moon, Mercury, Ganymede, icy moon and asteroid surfaces. Observations with current or future missions will be discussed. The workshop will be composed of invited and contributed talks with ample time for discussions and debates.
