Planetary Data Workshop (public)
Convener: P. Grindrod
Fri, 13 Sep, 12:45–13:45  / Room Ceres - Committee Room

The UCL Regional Planetary Image Facility (RPIF) invites the community to an open planetary data workshop at EPSC 2013.

Tutorials will be given in two main topics, concentrating on Mars data available in the NASA Planetary Data System and ESA Planetary Science Archive:

1. Planetary stereo images and digital terrain model generation.
2. Near-infrared hyperspectral studies with OMEGA.

Attendees at this workshop will be introduced to the UCL RPIF 3D, a facility that provides the hardware and software necessary for accessing, processing and analysing planetary data. Recent examples include stereo DTM production using HiRISE and CTX images, combined with CRISM processing and hyperspectral studies.

Although this workshop will concentrate on Mars data, the UCL RPIF encourages users interested in other data sets.

UCL RPIF 3D facilities are available to both internal and external users, free of charge, who have attended this data workshop.
