The Martian moons are currently of great interest and are target of several space exploration proposals. The Japanese Martian Moons eXplorer (MMX) mission, currently in preparation, is to return a sample from Phobos’ surface to Earth. The session invites contributions presenting recent findings related to both Martian moons and presentations on the current status of development of spacecraft and instrumentation to explore the Martian system.
