The Europlanet Policy & Industry Session is taking place in September 22, at the Europlanet Science Congress EPSC2022, on the theme:

Working with Europe's Planetary Exploration programme to fuel innovation, growth and competitiveness in Europe's space ecosystem (Research, Education and Commercial).

The Session aims to foster a debate on the future of planetary and space research in Europe, focusing on:
• the essential role of space as a strategic asset for Europe, in the landscape of planetary research
• how Europe’s planetary exploration program could drive innovation and competitiveness and impact society
• successful industry-academia collaborations and the associated benefits
This high-level event will feature short interventions and a panel discussion with the participation of policymakers, MEPs, and industry representatives, as well as, the Policy and Industry Officers of the Europlanet Society Regional Hubs.

The Europlanet General Assembly is the annual forum for Europlanet Society members (and non members) to learn about the activities of the Europlanet Society which also runs EPSC and is integral to the Europlanet 2024 Research Infrastructure. To learn about our activities, plans for the future and how you can get involved in the Society's activities please come along to the General Assembly.

A limited number of lunch bags will be provided to General Assembly attendees after the assembly.

One week ahead of the impact by NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spacecraft with Dimorphos, the moon of binary asteroid (65803) Didymos, representatives of the European Space Agency’s Hera mission, the Italian LICIACube mission and DART will present a preview for the media on the mission and planned investigation of the crater resulting from DART’s kinetic impact.
