Climate Change Impacts on Mediterranean Storms
This session involves works examining the potential impact of climatic change in Mediterranean Storms. In relation to it, works can deal with the analysis of intensity and frequency of precipitation events, strong winds and thunderstorm occurrences in the Mediterranean. Also, studies on the changes observed in the above parameters during the last decades due to the temperature increase, the NAO variability and the displacement of cyclone tracks are accepted. The analysis of the impact of future scenarios on extremes as well as the application of regional models and statistical and dynamic downscaling is particularly welcome.
