The session will cover all aspects of stratospheric ozone and other minor species in the polar regions. Special emphasis is given to results from recent polar ozone campaigns, including observational and model studies. Results from projects related to the International Polar Year are welcome.

We encourage contributions on chemistry, radiation, dynamics, small and large scale transport phenomena, meso-scale processes and polar-midlatitudinal exchange.

We welcome contributions on polar aspects of ozone/climate interactions, including empirical analyses and coupled chemistry/climate model results and coupling between tropospheric climate patterns and high latitude ozone.

In particular, we would like to solicit contributions in support of the SPARC initiatiative "The Role of Halogens in Ozone Depletion" and that provide new qualitative and quantitative evidence from the laboratory, field observations and modelling studies that link ozone depletion to stratospheric active chlorine and bromine amounts.
