Mon, 03 May, 10:30–12:00  / Room SM2

This session is devoted to main topics that concern Grid in Geosciences, many of them being presented in the oral and poster sessions. In order to complement the oral session and start a discussion, a short presentation of posters is planned. Then the questions raised will be discussed.

Public information: A Grid can be defined as a layer of networked services that allows users single sign-on access to distributed collection of resources not centrally controlled. These resources can among others be in the form of computational capabilities, data repositories, software services and applications. According to the resources shared and domain involved the term Grid is used for a wide variety of different objectives. This session will present examples of achievements.
