This session is intended as a commemoration of the scientific work conducted or initiated by J.P. Henriet, over the past decades. We invite contributions on a broad range of topics related to the stratigraphy, structure and evolution of the European continental margins. These topics may include: sedimentary processes on continental shelves, turbidite systems, contourites, cold-water corals, underwater landslides, gas hydrates, fluid flow, polygonal faulting,… Contributions may be in the form of reviews and state-of-the-art presentations or of original, new research presentations. In line with J.P. Henriet’s strong motivation to support scientists of the next generation, we especially encourage contributions from junior scientists or contributions crossing boundaries between disciplines.
