This session is dedicated to the investigation of links between oscillatory behaviour, external and internal accelerations, and flows. The role of wind and currents on wave structures and the way in which the non-steady forcing produces turbulent cascades that may produce mixing and diffusion will be discussed. Water surface waves, internal waves, oceanic and atmospheric shear and inertial waves, all modify the turbulent cascade in ways, which are not yet fully understood.
