Eurasia contains numerous examples of orogens that developed throughout the Phanerozoic. The India-Eurasia and Arabia-Eurasia collisions are two of the latest and largest in this series, and contrast with the more accretionary styles of orogeny developed across much of Central Asia through the Palaeozoic. This session seeks to being together researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds, to focus on issues of continental growth and magmatism during orogeny.
