Do you use any form of Art to educate people about the planet? Photography, visual storytelling, painting, narrative, theatre, music, movies, documentaries very often deal with the relation of human kind with nature. Today industrialization has brought people to be day by day ever more detached from nature at the point not to be able to survive outside civilization, with heavy consequences for the environment. Art involves people emotionally; it represents a valid tool for cognitive learning; it can help to convey messages and values for re-awakening the sense of beauty and responsibility for a better planet sustainability. If you are using any form of Art in this sense or investigating how Art meets Earth sciences issues, then join the session. It would be also interesting if you are studying how to evaluate your experience. In a widest sense, the session is dedicated to geoscientists and science communicators who follow this trend and are interested in the interplay of Art and Sciences. But also artists who want to cooperate with geoscientists to the same goal are invited to present their contributions.
