This Session aims to offer the state of art of the most recent findings, cost-efficient, ecofriendly, suitable, innovative and effective remediation technologies of potentially toxic elements in contaminated soils. It consists of three main groups of technologies: the first deals with containment, that minimize their toxicity, mobility and bioavailability; the second, remediation with decontamination and remotion of contaminants; the third is based on the integrated remediation approaches, which use different methods simultaneously or sequentially. We welcome contributions on the essential characteristics of these three groups of technologies, advantages and limitations, including the most recent developments and case studies of experimental laboratoy and field works leading with new data. We look forward to a lively Oral and Poster Session. Furthermore, we hope to publish the outcome of this Session in a Special Issue of an International Indexed Journal.
