About ECRA: Knowledge for climate action
The European Climate Research Alliance (ECRA) is a bottom-up initiative launched in 2011 by the European Commission focusing on the objectives to bring together, optimize and expand European expertise in climate research by sharing EXISTING national research capacities and infrastructures. We are building bridges at the science-stakeholder interface towards Knowledge exchange in Earth system Science.
Collaborative Programmes of research: National and European Climate change research programmes have to be streamlined and coordinated, in order to ensure optimum use of human resources, modelling capacities, field activities, and infrastructures, maximising therefore the impact of scientific results and reinforcing the

European Research Area for climate change science.
We strengthen the interface between climate researchers and policy makers to ensure that research findings are effectively communicated and translated into actionable politics. We also promote science communication and outreach: we improve communication skills of early scientists to effectively communicate to a broader audience.

This workshop is led by our Collaborative program Climate Change and High-level Impacts.
