Following the success of the inaugural event in Berlin, we are delighted to invite you to the second edition of the Europlanet SPace Innovation Night (E SPIN) in Helsinki. This year, the event will bring together colleagues from Europe, the US, and beyond, fostering connections across academia, industry, policy, and communication at every career stage, with a focus on innovation.

Event Highlights:
• Moderated Panel Discussion (19:30–21:00 EEST): A panel of experts will address the theme “The Use of Machine Learning in Planetary Sciences: Opportunities, Challenges, and Risks” in a lively debate with audience participation.
• Networking Reception (21:00–22:00 EEST): Continue the conversation over finger food and drinks, and create new connections across Europlanet and DPS communities.

We have secured the participation of Ms Victoria Da Poian (NASA Goddard, USA), Mr Olli Eloranta (Kuva Space, Finland), Dr Joern Helbert (ESA-ESTEC, The Netherlands), Dr Tomas Kohout (Aalto University, Finland), and Ms Nimisha Verma (DLR-Berlin, Germany, and EPEC Co-Chair) as panelists. Dr Stavro Ivanovski (INAF-Trieste, Italy, and Europlanet Vice-President) and Dr Luca Montabone (Paneureka/LMD, France, and Europlanet Executive Board Member) will moderate the discussion.

This second edition aims to firmly establish E SPIN as a highlight of the EPSC programme. The event is open to all EPSC–DPS registrants and free of charge, with the option to attend online.
We look forward to seeing you in Helsinki or online!
