Impact craters and impact related processes on terrestrial planets/satellites, and shock wave modification in minerals are subjects of the session. Papers from a broad range of research methods, like remote sensing, field observations, laboratory experiments, microanalysis, and numerical modelling, will bring together researchers from different disciplines and foster the interdisciplinary character of this important field in planetary research.
We welcome presentations covering all the aspects of impact cratering studies, including but not limited to cratering mechanics, environmental effects, experimental techniques, shock metamorphism, planetary perspectives, and impact hazard.
