FAM – Feedback and admin meetings
Wednesday, 23 April
Sunday, 27 April
Monday, 28 April
Tuesday, 29 April
The Division on Geosciences Instrumentation and Data Systems (GI) intends to be a forum for developments in instrumentation, technology, methods and data handling used in any field of the various geosciences. By promoting the discussion between specialists from widely diverse fields, advances in instrumentation made in one field might be utilised in other areas also and encourage co-operation, thereby saving separate development work and making new approaches possible, which otherwise might still have to wait for years or even decades.
As nearly every other field of geosciences is related to one or the other instrumentation strategy, many of the GI-sessions are co-organized with sessions from other divisions. Potential contributors to any session are encouraged to evaluate the benefits of a multi-disciplinary discussion versus the specific interest of the own target group.
The Division Meeting aims to be a key moment for evaluating the current state of the Division, using data and statistics to analyze the nature of contributions, both as leaders and as co-organizers. It will also assess the flow of interests within the division, provide updates from Early Career Scientists (ECS), and discuss outreach initiatives. Furthermore, it will include the voting of new officers and the definition of the Division’s program structure and responsible coordinators, ensuring an organized and forward-looking approach to its future activities.
The Division Meeting for Planetary and Solar System Sciences (PS) serves as a key gathering for our division to review the past year's performance, share important announcements, and present future plans. It provides a platform for open discussions, addressing questions and suggestions to shape the direction of our division and strengthen our scientific community.
Wednesday, 30 April
Thursday, 1 May
The TS Division meeting will provide essential updates on the current state of the Division and highlight recent developments within the Union.
This meeting holds particular significance as we will take the important step of formally approving and implementing the newly selected members of both the governance and awards committees. Additionally, the meeting will serve as an opportunity for the Early Career Scientists (ECS) group of our Division to present updates on their activities, initiatives, and future plans.
We strongly encourage all members to attend, as your involvement is crucial to the continued success of the TS Division. Your engagement helps ensure a dynamic and forward-thinking Division that meets the needs of our community.
