In this work we introduce a study of the North West Africa 12269 shergottite, recently discovered, using minimal and non-destructive analyses. A first chemical characterization will be performed by means of m-LIBS of an NWA 12269 sample. Micro-LIBS measurements of this and other Martian samples could be useful for supporting the interpretation of analyses coming from LIBS instruments onboard the rover Curiosity and Perseverance.
